This is something for other JCI Chapters to emulate! Yet another JCI KK achievement. The only matter of concern is continuity of the project. No doubt the impact is there but … what shall be the next step!!
Yup! NGO need to be become more professional.
But how? And now I felt out JCI KK ‘something and somewhere’ not like before. Where is the force!? What is missing!?
Why!? Is it the communication problem? Network problem? Promises problem? Con-man problem or nine isn’t eight (haka)? I think every NGO facing this problem. Might be I’m wrong.
I really impressed by this multi media presentation. The background music truly a good match, with the combination of best sound and lighting system presented on that night, I think everybody have the same feeling with me ‘wow’ Melvin, gambateh!!
Many a time functions like this has become a one-off thing. To be able to sustain continuity, members of the organisation must be able to envisage the value of the now and the future of the project. Value here is to mean the benefits to members, the organisation and the community. One-off functions by volunteer organisations is a thing of the past. The sooner its members realise that building a niche within the organisation has long term benefits, then that organisation will become an icon withing the community it serves and that will bring it closer to achieving its main objectives.
Naturally, managing humans is a very complex matter especially when you want to promote changes from the norm but there is no harm to do so. So, please continue to place your support in whatever way or form since its a good thing as you believe it to be!
Well done Miao!! JCI KK needs members to be in touch all the time in informal gathering as well as formal situation. This project gives an excellent platform to move one level up and we have must attract members to use this opportunity.
Very Impressed with your work!
I am not in the Board this year and realize that very little information has been passed down to members (Only now i realize the importance of communication, i didnt notice it until i am just an ordinary member). Maybe this is another good platform to know more about JCIKK activities.
Well done.
Thanks guy! It is my profession.
Yup! Management + Communication + Concern = Human Touch.
Actually organisation need human touch and team work.
I think this isue is come from relation ship, concern and focus. Just let it be… Everytime last
minutessecond one. And some more wasting time! We are only a NGO bah.If like that will make people ‘malas’ tu. And loss interest. Or choose person to work with. Like that not nice lah… We are JCI member tu!
Unless all members like Macgyver… Hehehehe…
Hope this year BOD can make a new era! But hope is not a plan! Must Action sikit-sikit lah!
2008 JCI KK BOD I know you all can do it! (tonite I attended the IAB meeting. No bad – Ini barulah! Do homework before meeting and direct to the point. Keep in up man!)
Yes, communication plays a major role in all levels of an organisation. It is diheartening to observe that in this information age that this continues to be a problem.
As members of an organisation, irrespective whether one is “in the Board” or not is irrelevant. Members must exercise their rights and demand to be informed. Further, it is the duty of members and their initiative to query and enquire about the organisation’s direction, events, functions…etc, rather than waiting to be spoon fed and nag about it.
Those who take the initiative usually excel to become leaders because they are the ones who have, amongst other things, the drive, aspirations, passion, commitment, and positive attitude to succeed.
